December 2010 Safety Briefing

December 2010 Safety Briefing
Phoenix Squadron
Review of hazards
Holiday message

Over the past year we had safety briefings concerning safe driving and walking, taking plenty of water to prevent health issues, discussions about internet concerns and safety, carrying and lifting dangers that can cause injury to your body, lessons about the current teen substance trends that can cause serious mental injuries or even death, and other discussions that are still relevant.

The holiday season can be extra dangerous due to more travel, use of candles and electrical devices, and of course, and the amount of time people spend recreating and socializing. There are increased potential for accident and injury due to the weather.

It is a good time to keep safety a priority, wherever you go and whatever activities you are engaging in. Therefore, please review some of your thoughts and memories, discussions and demonstrations of safety over the last year.

In order to get credit for safety, you must reply to my email (susanhkc7@gmail.com) or call me at my home phone (801 254-8418) by the end of the week (December 31st) with the answer to this question: Have you observed the safety requirements for CAP members and have you had a safe holiday so far?

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Safety Officer.

1st Lt Sue Chamberlin
