Leadership week - uniform of the day is BDUs.

Remember that the squadron's FTX is scheduled for September 11 & 12. Below is the packing list. We will be conducting a pre-inspection equipment check during the meeting. Be prepared and ready.

Complete BDU uniform with all required patches, tapes, grade and BDU cover
PT Gear (Shorts, tennis shoe, t-shirt)
Bug Spray
Sleeping bag
Compass
Canteen & pistol belt (2 liter Camelback is acceptable)
CAP ID card
Pen/Pencil and small composition book
Flight light with spare batteries
Poncho/Rain Gear (military preferably)
Work gloves
Toiletries
Two “Zip top” plastic bags
Any prescription drugs you are currently taking
CAPF 31

Pillow
Towel
Snack food (restricted to granola bars, trail mix bar, etc..)

Contraband Items
Any portable music, communication, or electronic devices (cell phones, ipods, etc)
Books, playing cards, and other forms of entertainment
Drugs, Alcohol, weapons of any kind
Inappropriate reading material or books
Candy, sodas, or any type of junk food.

Squadron patch's will be issued this week - The squadron will issue each cadet one patch, additional patches can be purchased for $5.00 each.

Speaking of FTX's, The Wing is hosting a Rocky Mountain Dog Team FTX on 18 Sept. Phoenix has four slots available. You DO NOT need a 101 card to participate. Contact Lt Fernandez for details.

Last item: Have you tested lately (or helped someone get ready for a test?) If you need help, we have several cadets who have offered to step up and host study groups to help you move forward in your CAP career. All you have to do is stand up and let someone know.
