7. The command staff will be watching to see who is checking in on the blog. If you have a buddy with no internet, you may sign them in with you, each week.

NEW ITEMS:
1. There will be glider flights this Saturday, 6 Aug 2011. We have 10 slots open, contact your chain of command to sign up. Uniform of the Day is PT gear (no boots), bring a lunch, be at the Cedar Valley Airport NLT (No Later Than) 0730 hours. We'll be done when everyone has flown. First come first serve, however if there are more than 10 interested, preference will be given to anyone who has not had a glider flight.

2. Lt. Forbes will be at Hill this weekend (Aug 6th, 2011) if you need anything from the clothing store please have your list and your money ready on Thursday night at the squadron meeting.

PT Night - Uniform PT - remember black hats are approved to wear, they are $5.00 a piece and you can purchase them from Lt. Nielsen.

Remember to call a fellow cadet and remind them of the meeting. Also bring new recruits to get your recruiting ribbon.

If you missed last week, you need to complete an on-line safety training before you can participate. Log on to E-Services to complete this. This is for senior member's and cadet's.

Safety Officer Message:
Below is a list of those who are not in Safety Compliance by 3pm July 7th. Because there is a tour scheduled (see previous blog), all attendees are required to be in compliance by departure time! So . . . those who need to complete these safety requirements may do so before 6pm by logging onto the gocivilairpatrol.com site.

Go to “already a member” at the bottom of the page; and then choose “eServices”. Scroll down to Online Safety Education and click on that.
Once you do this, you may take any one of the Monthly Safety Education Courses you have not yet taken, which take approximately 20 minutes. You must pass with 80% or better or retake it until you do. You will need to sign up for an account if you haven’t done that yet. All members are expected to have an account.
For those who are listed on Introduction to Safety, follow the directions above, but after clicking on Online Safety Education, find the course Introduction to CAP Safety. That one may take a little longer and you must pass with 80% or better. If not, retake it until you do.
Be sure to click on the appropriate box at the end of each test or it will not be recorded and you will need to retake it!

Obviously is always easier to attend Safety Education in the Unit. Call me asap if have questions, 801 556-8685.

We are scheduled to take a tour of the Army National Guard Helicopter Facility tonight - lets make it a good showing and see how many cadets we can have attended.

Testing is available on-line 24/7 - open book
